A woman who was seen trespassing on a railway track has been outed on social media for reckless behaviour.

A local resident detailed the incident in a recent post to Facebook which included a photograph of said woman on the train tracks.

In the post the user wrote “Sharing this as I’m not sure if this woman has special needs but she appears to be taking this risky opportunity to capture the sunset?

“This was witnessed by my teen daughter at Crowthrone Station this evening.”

The woman who posted the photograph along with the description of what happened later updated the status to confirm that she was no longer on the tracks.

She allegedly took the picture on her phone then ‘got off’ the railway tracks.

Dozens of people took to the comment section of the post reprimanding the woman’s careless actions.

A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said the following:

“Officers received reports of a trespasser on the tracks at around 4.22pm 15 January at Crowthorne railway station.

“Enquiries into this incident are ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 377 of 15/01/2024.”
