A brand-new driving range has announced that it will be coming to a popular Berkshire golf club.

Downshire Golf Complex is set to launch the Trackman Range on Friday, December 22 in collaboration with Bracknell Forest Council and Everyone Active.

The £270,000 will cater for avid golfers and compliment existing features at the complex located at Easthampstead Park.

Existing facilities include the 18-hole golf course, the indoor golf stimulator, and the public bar and restaurant.

Mark Tennant, contract manager at Everyone Active, said: “The new TrackMan technology is a brilliant addition to our golf centre, offering a way for keen golfers, amateur golfers and children alike, to enjoy the sport.

“This initiative at Downshire Golf Complex signifies a collaborative effort between Everyone Active and Bracknell Forest Council to bring innovative and inclusive facilities to the community.”

The driving range aims to make the club more family-friendly and include TV screens within the 24 bays.

Councillor Iskandar Jeffries, executive member for culture, delivery and public protection, said: “Golf is a great sport for anyone and by implementing this new technology we look to encourage more people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the health and social benefits that golf has to offer.”

Residents will be invited to the launch for a free open day in the new year.

Attendees will have the opportunity to try the new Trackman technology firsthand. It uses radar tracking to give the most accurate ball-tracking technology currently available
