A CHILDHOOD charity has been given a cheque for more than £27,000 to support children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

Home developers, Bewley Homes, handed over the cheque to Sebastian’s Action Trust, a Crowthorne-based children’s charity, for over £27,384 from the proceeds of its charity golf day in June.

148 golfers, made up of subcontractors and suppliers, teed off at Bewley’s annual event which included an auction which raised almost £12,000.

Chief executive officer at Sebastian’s Action Trust, Hazel Bedford, said: “We are extremely grateful to Bewley who have supported us for so many years. With support from businesses like Bewley, we can continue our mission to bring joy, comfort and support to children and families navigating the complexities of life-limiting illnesses.”

In the last year, the Trust has supported families through respite breaks, outreach and specialist services together with events that connect its families.
