The start of this week saw thousands of pupils across the borough return to school, however three schools have already confirmed positive cases.

Edgbarrow School in Crowthorne, Garth Hill College and Brakenhale School all announced Covid-19 cases.

They have reassured the community and parents of children at the school that those who have contracted the virus are to self-isolate for 14 days.

However, fears have been raised from some parents about their children returning to school since the announcement from the council.

We asked readers on our Facebook poll whether they feel nervous about children going back to school and many said yes.

One mum, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "Am I the only one who is concerned about letting their kids back to school after knowing there’s been students testing positive yesterday? Literally first day back." All three schools stated that they will remain open and that the students affected were not in school when they tested positive for coronavirus.

Because of this, readers believe children need to go back and parents should worry less.

One reader said: "They need an education. We need to try and carry on as best we can while it’s here . They’ve already been off 5 months. They have to go back.

Another added "I think this is going to happen more and more and we have to trust in the guidelines. My son has already got a cold and asking me if he needs a test"
