A SUSPECTED arsonist has been arrested after causing mayhem in the streets.
On Saturday July 28, a man was seen walking around the streets of Ascot with a knife setting fires.
He is alleged to have threatened another man with the knife, before being arrested by officers.
Thames Valley Police confirmed that a 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of a bladed article.
A spokesman for the police stated: "Thames Valley Police were called at around 8.55pm on Saturday (28/7) to the Sunningdale Cemetery area of Ascot.
"It was after reports of a man setting fires and threatening another man with a knife.
"A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of a bladed article. He has been released under investigation."
