VOLUNTEERS who give up their time to help their community have been personally thanked by Bracknell's two mayors.
Bracknell Town Mayor Cllr Sandra Ingham and Bracknell Forest Mayor Cllr Alvin Finch joined forces to thank local volunteers at an Involve breakfast held at the Weather Vane, in Arlington Square, on Saturday, June 2.
Representatives from a variety of organisations were present including Youthline, The Carers Association, Befriending, Girl Guiding and Home-Start.
Speaking on behalf of both mayors, Cllr Ingham said: "We thank you all from our hearts for giving of your time so willingly to help others in our community."
Volunteer services manager Diane Benford, who organised the event, said: "I would like to give a special thank you to Daniel, the manager of the Weather Vane, and his staff for allowing involve to host the breakfast there."
