DRIVERS in Ascot are being reminded to always secure their vehicles, following a spate of car crime in the last week.
Between 9pm Wednesday, April 25 and 6am on Thursday, two cars in Wells Lane were entered and searched. A pair of Ray Ban sunglasses were stolen from one of the cars.
On the same night, a car parked in a driveway in Nash Gardens was entered and searched, and a gym kit and Adidas gym bag were stolen.
Elsewhere in Ascot on the same night, another car was entered by nothing was stolen. The owner only discovered what had happened as the driver's door was found open.
Police believe that all of these cars had been left unlocked, so are reminding motorists to always lock their vehicles, even if they are parked on a driveway with large security gates.
