A DRUG dealer who was caught in Harman's Water has been sentenced to five years in jail.

Thames Valley Police officers arrested Saleh Uddin on May 10 last year.

They found two mobile phones suggesting he was dealing cocaine and heroin.

The 22-year-old was charged on September 29 the same year and faced trial at Reading Crown Court.

Investigating officer, Police Constable Neil Lofthouse, said: "It is important to note that no drugs were found either on Uddin or during searches following arrest.

"Nevertheless, this conviction sends a strong message that to be involved in the supply of controlled drugs, in any capacity, lead to significant sentences.

"Thames Valley Police are committed to the continued investigation of drug related crime and seek prosecution of all those involved in its supply.

"In doing so we seek to protect communities from the devastating effects of both drugs themselves and the crimes committed in their name."

Udding, of Walsworth Road, Hitching, Hertfordshire, was convicted by a unanimous jury of one count of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and one count of being concerned in the supply of heroin on June 8.

He was jailed for five years
