I AM a local resident who lives with his wife and two-year-old son in the heart of Bracknell.

I grew up in neighbouring Reading and have spent the majority of my life living in and around the area.

Having studied acoustical engineering at the University of Southampton, I now work as a senior project manager for an audiovisual company which is based just outside Bracknell.

Tory plans for a Hard Brexit that will tear us out of the Single Market, quite possibly without any deal on our future trading relationship with the rest of Europe, will prove to be a disaster for British businesses, the British economy and ultimately for the lives of ordinary British people.

I will be fighting to keep the UK in the Single Market and to give the British people their say on the final Brexit deal through a second referendum.

Our schools are on the brink of financial crisis and teacher morale is at an all-time low.

Per pupil funding is at its lowest level in decades whilst schools are also facing ever-increasing costs.

Local schools are now on the verge of asking parents to make specific per pupil financial contributions – this is the end of state funded education as we know it.

It is critical that the next government reverses Tory cuts and protects education funding, both in line with rising costs and on a per pupil basis.

Liberal Democrat plans will deliver an extra £7 billion in funding to our schools.

The Conservative government have all but declared war on our precious National Health Service.

Antagonistic negotiations and a refusal to engage with the legitimate concerns of dedicated frontline medical professionals have already led junior doctors to engage in the first allout strike in the history of the NHS.

Our vital nursing staff are now facing the same difficult decisions.

The next government has to invest in the NHS, working with rather than against NHS staff to tackle long term challenges and ensure high-quality health care is available to all for generations to come.

The Liberal Democrats have a plan to invest an additional £6 billion in our NHS.
