Firefighters had to help a horse escape from a barbed wire fence in Blagrove Lane, in Wokingham, today.
Crews from Wokingham and Dee Road fire stations helped the distressed animal escape at noon.
They used specialist cutters to remove the wire and also hacked back brambles which were nearby.
The horse was led free using a head harness and lead ropes. An animal rescue officer was also at the scene to help.
The owners of the horse arrived at the scene while the animal was being freed, which took about 20 minutes.
