1. Bracknell neighbours 'disgusted' at fence dispute

Bracknell News:

Bracknell residents have said that the decision to force an elderly couple to tear down their garden fence is ‘ridiculous’ and ‘disgusting behaviour’.

Margaret Rose Hale, 72, moved into the Bullbrook Drive property in 2009 with her husband where she soon became a loyal part of the community.

After being threatened with a £1,000 fine, the pair removed the once coveted one-metre fence and were left with their once perfect garden unprotected from the elements and free to passing animals.

2. Meadowbrook Montessori School permanently closed down

Bracknell News:

A school teaching primary age pupils in Bracknell Forest has permanently closed leading to dozens of children having to change schools.

The Meadowbrook Montessori was a school in Malt Hill, rural Warfield where 33 children aged between 3 to 11 were taught.

But that came to an end when the school was officially closed in summer this year.

3. Bracknell flash flooding causes traffic chaos as Bagshot Road closes

Bracknell News:

Flash flooding forced a major road to close in Bracknell.

At 9am this morning (November 13) Bracknell Forest Council announced that the A322 Bagshot Road was closed southbound towards the M3 at the Coral Reef junction due to flash flooding.

A spokesperson for the council added: "We are currently working to get lane two open as soon as possible as the water is subsiding."

4. The Lexicon and Lounges issues update over rumoured Bracknell opening

Bracknell News:

Rumours have been circulating regarding a new café and bar joining the host of eateries along Eagle Lane.

Suspected to be coming to the empty Prezzo restaurant in the Lexicon, Loungers is a hospitality company which offers two complementary brands – Lounge and the Cosy Club.

Lounge combines elements of a restaurant, British pub and coffee shop culture, and are normally located in suburban high streets and small town centres.

5. Man hospitalised after attack in Winscombe Park, Bracknell

Bracknell News:

A MAN has been hospitalised after an attack in a Bracknell park.

The incident happened at about 3.10pm on Wednesday (November 15) when the victim, a man aged in his fifties, was walking through Winscombe Park in Great Hollands.

As he walked along the footpath near the play area, two males on electric scrambler bikes drove towards him.
