A little boy's obsession with lorries has blossomed into a great friendship with HGV drivers.

Dylan Clark, age 2, from Bracknell started to enjoy watching the lorries when his mum was driving his older brother and sister to school past Waitrose Headquarters.

His mum Lucy decided to bring Dylan down the Waitrose village, take a packed lunch and sit and watch the lorries drive in and out.

They would even walk around the warehouse buildings so Dylan can enjoy watching the large lorries.

Lucy said the drivers notice Dylan excitement and beep their horns and wave back to him.

Bracknell News:

She said: "It makes my heart melt. We go down at least once or twice a week to watch them and now he's known to the transport team there.

"We pack a little lunch box for him to carry and walk down there and sit down and watch from the side of the road and then we walk around the whole waitrose warehouse buildings watching them come out of each section.

"They all and I mean every single driver waves and beeps which is the cutest. Dylan stands by the side of road and puts both hands up and shouts 'wave, wave' and they all do. It's the best, they have been so kind."

After noticing her post on Facebook, Waitrose got in touch and offered to invite her and Dylan for a tour when the coronavirus pandemic calms down.

They even gave him a print out of his favourite lorry (pictured above) and will send him a corgi toy lorry and Edgar toy from last year's Christmas collection.
