A charity which supports the most vulnerable families and children has celebrated 30 years of helping people out in Bracknell.

Home-Start helps families by providing support to parents going through difficulties such as sickness, relationship difficulties and feelings of isolation.

Volunteers for the organisation have been supporting people in Bracknell Forest for three decades, and celebrated that milestone this month.

Families and volunteers marked the occasion with a fun day in Princess Square, which featured a toy tombola, arts and crafts, and a visit from ‘Bluey’ the dog.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “Throughout these three decades, we’ve been the guiding light for countless families in our community, ensuring parenting journeys and childhoods are filled with positivity and hope.”

As well as the fun activities, Home-Start volunteers announced a target of raising £30,000 over the next year.

Home-Start has a partnership with the council, with the organisation supporting the children and family services the council provides.

The charity states that it helps 182 children and 139 families with its team of 36 volunteers.
