Frimley Health are to run an information event on respiratory disease as it continues to grow at worrying levels.

Respiratory disease affects one in five people in the UK and is the third biggest cause of death in England.

Cases are climbing and during the past seven years, hospital admissions for lung disease have risen at three times the rate of all admissions.

Chief of service for medicine and respiratory consultant, Dr Gareth Roberts, will run a free online event on Tuesday, April 18 from 6.30pm until 7.30pm.

Dr Roberts will be joined by Respiratory Specialist Nurse, Sally Bustin, who will discuss the latest community services on offer for patients with COPD and other lung diseases.

The event is open to everyone who would like to learn more about Frimley Health’s respiratory services, with an opportunity to put questions to Dr Roberts at the end of the session.

Register here for the event.
