1. Police attend welfare incident near The Lexicon
A man has died following a welfare incident at a Bracknell town centre car park.
At around 9am police alerted members of the public to an incident at the High Street car park in Bracknell.
In a statement on social media, police said the car park and surrounding roads would be closed until further notice and the public was requested to avoid the area.

2. 'Buzzy town' surrounded by countryside named the best place to live in Berkshire
A town where you will be "healthier, wealthier and more beautiful" has been named the best place to live in Berkshire.
Wokingham has grabbed the top spot in the Muddy Stilettos 'best place to live' awards, beating Windsor to the top spot.
The awards have described the town a "big hit" with families for it's "excellent schools, buzzy town and surrounding countryside" Wokingham is often described as a pretty market town and often crops up in surveys of the best place to live in the UK.

3. Plan for 54 homes between Bracknell and Wokingham approved
A plan for 54 homes between Bracknell and Wokingham has been given the go-ahead despite fears it would ‘bridge the gap’ between the two towns.
The developer Beaulieu Homes had submitted a plan to build 54 homes west of St Anne’s Drive and south of London Road.
Despite being located between the two towns, the site falls entirely within Wokingham Borough.

4. Hurst village shop announces closure after 110 years in community
A much-loved village store has announced it will be closing its doors for good next month.
Hurst Village Stores located on The Street in Hurst is to close on Tuesday, April 11.
Manager of the store Jayne Overington said: "I was asked to gather all my staff at 11am Tuesday, March 21.

5. Bracknell pub wins 2023 Branch Pub of the Year Real Ale award
A Bracknell pub has won the 2023 Branch Pub of the Year award by The Berkshire South-East branch of CAMRA (The Campaign for Real Ale).
The Newtown Pippin pub will be presented the award at a social on Thursday, March 23 at 7.30pm.
CAMRA is a group for beer drinkers who are passionate about local pubs selling real ale, rather than mass produced fizzy beer.
