1. Chopstix and German Doner Kebab will open in The Lexicon

Two eateries are set to open in The Lexicon early this year to much excitement from shoppers and foodies alike.

Alongside restaurants such as The Giggly Squid and Five Guys, a new Pan-Asian restaurant and a well-known kebab eatery will be joining the fray at the shopping complex.

Chopstix, which has been launched in hundreds of destinations across the UK serves a range of fresh, and tasty dishes which can be selected in a variety of portion boxes.

2. Two murder arrests after three men killed in car crash

Bracknell News:

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after three men were killed in a car crash.

Sussex Police said the two men, aged 38 and 40 – and from Eastbourne, remain in custody following the deaths of 21-year-old Daniel Davies, 32-year-old Jonny Day and 36-year-old Jon Miller from Berkshire.

The force said it was called to reports of a collision involving a silver Citroen Berlingo on Decoy Drive in Eastbourne at around 11.10pm on Monday.

3. Pub plans major revamp to pep up its outdoor area

Bracknell News:

A pub near Bracknell could be getting a revamped outdoor area if plans are given the go-ahead.

Greene King, which owns the Prince, in Crowthorne, wants to improve its outdoor seating area and build an extension for a disabled toilet to be added for the first time.

Currently, the outdoor area has tables, seating and sun umbrellas.

4. 69 flats has been dismissed in what’s been called a ‘bizarre twist’.

Bracknell News:

An appeal to add two floors on top of an existing building already housing 69 flats has been dismissed in what’s been called a ‘bizarre twist’.

The L’avenir building in Bracknell once served as an office but has undergone a conversion into dozens of apartments in recent years.

The building’s owner attempted to add two floors above the current building which would provide space for 42 flats, bringing the total to 111.

5. Superbowl bowling alley and Cherry local shop hit by ram-raiders

Bracknell News:

Two Wokingham businesses suffered substantial damage after ram-raiders targeted a Berkshire bowling alley and local shop this weekend (13/2).

Police were called to the scene of two separate attacks in the early hours of Sunday morning at a local shop on Bean Oak Road and the popular Super Bowl bowling alley.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for members of the public who may have further information to come forward.
