1. Bracknell Leisure Centre: Police release CCTV images after attack

Bracknell News:

A woman in her fifties sustained a head injury and rushed to hospital after being assaulted outside Bracknell Leisure Centre.

The incident occurred at around 10:20pm on Saturday, November 12 on Bagshot Road.

Thames Valley Police have released images of three women that officers believe 'may have vital information' about the attack.

2. Here are the 11 car parks where you can park for free over Christmas

Bracknell News:

Wokingham Borough Council have announced that free parking will be offered across the four main areas during the run-up to Christmas.

For frantic shoppers searching for the perfect Christmas gift close to the big day, 11 car parks are being made available to park on both Saturday, December 17 and 24.

Although in the past, parking has been free during every Saturday in December, this year the Council has said that due to financial pressures this hasn’t been possible this year.

4. The Foundry Bell opens as new contemporary pub in Wokingham

Bracknell News:

Wokingham’s newest pub officially opened its doors to customers last weekend (2/12) following a major three month renovation project.

100 years since the opening of the original public house, The Foundry Bell located on London Road has taken over the site of the former Loch Fyne.

The new contemporary pub has brought the building back to life, with a focus on championing seasonal, local produce and suppliers.

5. The Woodcutters: Community pub set to open on Christmas Day

Are you spending Christmas alone?

A Bracknell pub is set to open its doors this Christmas Day welcoming lonely and vulnerable people from across the community.

The Woodcutters Pub, located on Bere Road has recently been taken over by local publican Kas Cox.

To cater for her older clientele and people in Bracknell who are struggling this winter, she is opening the established pub to customers for free tea, hot chocolate, mince pies, turkey sandwiches and a ‘good old chin wag’ during the festive period.
