Wokingham’s newest pub officially opened its doors to customers last weekend (2/12) following a major three month renovation project.

100 years since the opening of the original public house, The Foundry Bell located on London Road has taken over the site of the former Loch Fyne.

The new contemporary pub has brought the building back to life, with a focus on championing seasonal, local produce and suppliers.

Mason Gray, general manager at The Foundry Bell, said: “After months of renovation, the whole team look forward to welcoming locals dropping in for a pint by the fireplace, friends getting together or families hosting celebrations in our new pub.

“We’ve considered every detail, from our beautiful new interior and exterior, to our hand-picked local suppliers, everything is in place to make sure we can give guests a memorable experience.”

New interiors include a brand-new bar, wine room housing over 95 bottles of world wines, 14-seat private dining room and an outdoor heated snug and seating.

A seamless hybrid of areas, seating up to 250 guests at any one time, lends itself to all dining and drinking occasions, including cosy nooks and armchairs by the original working fireplaces to banquet-style seating for dining parties.

The pub has also launched three of its own Festive Menus including a seasonal Festive Menu, a Christmas Day Menu and an exclusive New Year’s Eve menu.

Celebrating the best in British produce, a limited-edition Christmas cocktail list is also available meaning guests can toast to the festivities with a glass of something special with seasonal twists on classic serves such as the Espresso Chocolate Tequila Martini, the champagne-based Sloe Royal and a smooth Salted Caramel Old Fashioned.
