Road users throughout Wokingham and Bracknell Forest are due see a spat of road closures that may hinder their journey over the next few weeks.

From re-surfacing works, to landscaping to water main repair, longer journey times across the borough may be imminent.

However, with the help of local councils and the road traffic analysis platform, one.network planning your journey couldn’t be easier.

Listed below are the seven different road closures that have been scheduled across the local area of Bracknell and Wokingham in the month of August.

Reading Road, Arborfield

Dates: August 26 – August 31.

Reading Road will be closed between Observers Way and Sindlesham Road so new signage, traffic islands and landscaping can be installed.

Diversion: Via Observer Way and Swallowfield Road.

 

Oxford Road, Wokingham

Dates: August 23 – August 26

Oxford Roade will be closed between A329 Reading Road and Barkham Road to carry out plane and inlay resurfacing

Closure will take place overnight from 7pm -6am.

 

Binfield Road, Wokingham

Dates: Closure has been extended to August 24.

Due to extensive damage to the road following the burst of a water main, the road closure on Binfield Road has been extended. The road is closed between London Road and Barrett Crescent.

Diversion: Alternative route is via London Road and Barrett Crescent.

Holt Lane, Wokingham

Dates: July 25 – September 2

Resurfacing work is being carried out in Holt Lane.

Diversion: Route description

Holt Lane, Wokingham RG41 1ED

1.6km. Abouth 4 minutes 

1. Head south-east on Reading Road/A329 - continue to following A329

2. Turn left into Glebelands Road/A321

3. At the roundabout, take the second exit into Milton Road/A321

 

Woosehill, Wokingham

Dates: August 24 - August 25

Due to resurfacing work on Woosehill

 

Crowthorne High Street

Dates: August 23 – September 3

Due to inlay resurfacing works on Crowthorne High Street the road will be closed for 12 days.

Footpath on high street is open.

Diversion route: Route Description

37 White City, Crowthorne RG45 7DJ - 2.1km

1. Head south-east on Upper Broadmoor Road

2. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit into Chaplain's Hill

3. Continue onto Lower Broadmoor Road

4. Turn right onto High Street - go through 1 roundabout

5. At roundabout, take the third exit onto Bracknell Road

6. Turn right onto Upper Broadmoor Road

 

Footpath 62 Wellington Road to Lower Broadmoor Road

Dates: August 22 – November 22.

The ‘footpath 62, Wellington Road to Lower Broadmoor Road’ will be closed for three months due to drainage upgrade work.
