GP’s throughout Bracknell are reviewed by their patients every year in an annual survey. Whether each surgery gains a good or bad overall rating depends on a range of aspects within the GP.

This includes, the quality of local services that are offered, the quality of their last appointment, making an appointment at the surgery and a patients overall health.

Although we have seen a dramatic decrease in patient satisfaction compared to 2021, some GP’s throughout Bracknell have went up in the list of the five best GP’s.

This is the case with the number one surgery, Evergreen Practice that was 3rd in 2021.

Evergreen practice – 86% patient satisfaction

Evergreen practice has jumped to the number one best GP in Bracknell in 2022 survey, above Crownwood Medical Centre and Gainsborough practice that were in the top three in 2021.

The Evergreen practice received the highest satisfaction rating with 86 per cent believing the practice to be good.

Although this is one percent less than their 2021 rating, it is 14% above this year’s national average (72%).

98% had confidence and trust in the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to during their last general practice appointment, and 96% felt their needs were met during their last general practice appointment.

 

Crown wood medical centre – 84% patient satisfaction

94% were involved as much as they wanted to be in decisions about their care and treatment during their last general practice appointment

At Crown Wood medical centre, the level of care in their last appointment was scored as above average in all categories. This includes time given for general practice appointment, the healthcare professional was good at listening to them and were involved as much as they wanted to be in decisions about their care and treatment

Compared to the national average of 59%, 75% of patients at this GP surgery were offered a choice of appointment when they last tried to make a general practice appointment.

Binfield surgery – 78% patient satisfaction

With 78% good patient satisfaction and the third best in the area, Binfield surgery has some of the best local GP services according to the 2022 patient surveys.

70% find it easy to get through to this GP practice by phone compared to the 49% local average for GP’s throughout Bracknell.  

79% say they have had enough support from local services or organisations in the last 12 months to help manage their long-term condition(s).

The Waterfield practice – 75% patient satisfaction

81% find the receptionists at this GP practice helpful. Above the 80% local average.

91% say the healthcare professional they saw or spoke to was good at listening to them during their last general practice appointment

93% felt the healthcare professional recognised or understood any mental health needs during their last general practice appointment. 81% is national average meaning this surgery has a much higher than average understanding of mental health according to their patients.

Ringmead medical practice – 73% patient satisfaction

Coming in at one percent above the national average and three percent above the local ICS, Ringmead medical practice survey results are varied.

During their last appointment 91% of patients felt the healthcare professional recognised or understood any mental health needs. 93% where then also felt their needs were met during their last general practice appointment.

The receptionists at Ringmead Medical Centre are praised by 87% of patients who said that they find the receptionists at this GP practice helpful.

A spokesperson from Frimley Health CCG said: “We are extremely grateful to everyone who took part in the survey as their input really helps us to identify where we need to focus our efforts. We are currently taking a detailed look at the results to explore what we need to do to improve local people’s experiences of healthcare.”
