A 'DISGUSTED' resident has slammed the authority over the amount of dog poo left dumped on a public footpath.

Stella Daniels contacted the News after coming across the poo bags in Warfield, as well as overflowing food waste caddy.

He spotted this when walking near a block of flats next to Three Legged Cross.

The food waste recycling bin was found to be overflowing with bags of waste gathered beside it on the grass verge.

After speaking to the council about the over-flowing bin, Mr Daniels said: “I sent the council the location via ‘fix my location’ and they had the audacity to turn round to me and say you need to go to the HMS registry to find the landowners because they do not own this land.

“I said ‘you find them and get your environmental health officers onto them’.

The council said the waste is dumped on land not managed by the council, but they sent a park ranger to clear the rubbish so "residents wouldn’t be further inconvenienced by this illegal act."

However, Mr Daniels believes the side footpath is owned by the council.

Adding: "Secondly, I don’t believe it is on private property. The road that goes through it is private, but the side footpath is next to the new apartments near the spice lounge.

Bracknell News:

Damian James, Assistant Director, contract service, said: "Fly-tipping is not only a nuisance to our residents, it is an illegal act punishable in law and the Council will prosecute wherever possible.

“We recommend any residents who witness fly-tipping or dumped rubbish on council owned or managed land, report it at: www.bracknell-forest.gov.uk/street-cleaning/fly-tipping-or-dumped-rubbish

“Fly-tipping remains a priority for Bracknell Forest Council ensuring the Borough remains clean and green.”
