Fish and Chips have become a classic British staple throughout the years. From time's gone by of wrapping it in newspaper as a seaside treat up and down the country, millions flock to their best one to taste the best of Britain.

The Guardian has just ranked the best seaside fish and chip shops in the UK dubbing each of them national treasures.

Although the presence of a fish and chip shop by the sea means a plentiful supply of fresh fish, other town’s further in from the coast certainly aren’t lacking in their ability to fry a fresh fillet of cod or plaice.

We asked our readers what their favourite fish and chip shops were in Bracknell, and the answer was overwhelming.

Three restaurants and take-aways came out on top with the best being described as having freshly cooked and delicious seafood.

Blue Ray in Forest Park came out on top with an overwhelming majority of the votes. However, one reader did say that their decision was clouded after the restaurant cancelled their order.

Some readers did think it was ‘a bit of hit and miss’ but with such an overwhelming majority who can expect a few doubters.

Gingers at Harmans Water was a tough second amongst readers, with many saying that the food was gorgeous and freshly cooked. Rach Allen did comment on the greasiness of Gingers, preferring the delicacy of Blue Bay.

Churchill’s came out in third place among our list of best fish and chip shops in Bracknell. It’s freshly made seaside cuisine tempting even away from the seaside.
