Wokingham Lions Club is holding a comedy night at the Wokingham Theatre on Friday, March 4 2022.

This comes after two previous successful #WokyComedyNight’s in 2019, making it the first event since the Covid-19 pandemic.

Three comedians – Mike Gunn, Sarah Callaghan and Tom Ward will be introduced by top compere, David Ward.

Tickets are £16, plus a £1 booking fee, and all proceeds will be donated to local charities.

Members of First Days Children’s Charity will be selling raffle tickets to raise funds to help support families in need in Wokingham.

A full bar and plenty of parking is available at the theatre.

Organiser John Cleary said: “It’s been a long time coming, but it’s great to be able to bring back the Comedy Nights in Wokingham after a two-year break.

“We would like to thank the trustees of the Wokingham Theatre for letting us use their fantastic venue.

“The demand for tickets has been incredible, with most of the tickets already sold. It shows what a tremendous appetite there is for comedy!

“It promises to be a great night, and we hope to be running more comedy nights in the future.”
