EXCITEMENT is gearing up today as England battles it out against Denmark on Wembley’s football pitch to secure a place in the UEFA Euro 2020 final tonight.

The Three Lions have sailed through the tournament with an incredible 4-0 win against Ukraine last Saturday with the team making it to the semi-final.

Whether it's coming home or not, it's clear to see the community is backing England to win against Denmark, even after Danish midfielder Christen Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest at the beginning of the tournament.

People from all over Berkshire are rallying for the team ahead of their game tonight.

Allan Fazey from Bracknell converted his bright red taxi to support England during the tournament.

Mr Fazey said: "I have been doing this to put a smile on people's faces. The comments have been really positive with people beeping as they drive past shouting 'it's coming home'.

"I will be driving around this afternoon. I'm hoping for 3-1 England fingers crossed."

Reading East MP Matt Rodda has sent his well-wishes for Gareth Southgate's England Squad.

Bracknell News:

He said: “I am looking forward to tonight’s game, I still can’t quite believe how well England are doing. I am deeply impressed by our team and I want to pay tribute to the players and to Gareth Southgate.

“I hope England can play with the same confidence they showed against Ukraine and really do the whole country proud tonight. They are an incredible team, with amazing potential.

“At the same time, we shouldn’t underestimate Denmark, they’ve had a tough time in the last few days and will be highly motivated. They also have a strong record in recent fixtures with England.

“I hope it’s a great game, the whole country needs a lift after everything we have been through.”

James Sunderland, MP for Bracknell said: "This has been another fantastic run by England and let's just hope that we can be 'third semi-final lucky' by getting to the Final.

"Having agonisingly watched the World Cup in 1990, Euros in 1996 and since alongside every other England fan, how fantastic would it be to win it outright. I predict 2-0 tonight against Denmark. Go England!"

Not everyone in Slough will be supporting England, however.

Local Lise Cook is Danish and living in Burnham.

She said: "I am not going to lie. Slightly split loyalty as I am originally from Denmark and my entire family are still there - I will be cheering on the Danes. Will have the house covered in Danish flags and got loads of friends coming over to watch the game. They will not be supporting Denmark with me so should be interesting. My heart wants Denmark to win but I would put my money on England.

"I have lived here for so many years now - whoever wins - it's a win-win for me!"
