A person who was injured at Go Ape on the weekend fell from a seven-metre height, South Central Ambulance Service has said.

The founder of Go Ape confirmed that on Saturday, May 22, a person using the Treetop Adventure Plus course in Bracknell was hurt.

Paramedics said they were called at 6.23 pm to say a person had been found on the ground after falling approximately seven metres from height.

The person was checked over at the scene and then taken via air ambulance to Royal Berkshire Hospital.

A spokesman from South Central Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 18.23 with the caller reporting that a person had been found on the ground at Go Ape and suspected of falling approximately 7 metres."

It comes after the founder of Go Ape apologised to the participant following the incident.

Go Ape also decided to close all of their Treetop Adventure Plus courses at 24 other sites as a "precaution."
