Changes at Morrisons (planning reference: 20/00959/FUL)

Several changes have been proposed at The Peel Centre’s Morrisons in recent months.

In August 2020, supermarket bosses asked for permission to create three new additional parking spaces for delivery vans, as well as an additional exit gate at the Skimped Hill Lane site.

These plans were approved in October 2020 but new proposals arrived in December 2020 where the applicants asked for the go-ahead to build a freestanding warehouse pod at the side of the supermarket.

A description of the proposal read: “Morrisons propose a warehouse/store room bolted onto the side of their existing store.

“This room provides an active drop off/storage area for customers’ online shopping goods picked from the main sales floor and packed ready for pick up.

“The packed goods are then walked to the waiting van and loaded for delivery.”

These proposals have now been given the council’s blessing.

The pathway will be made of reinforced plastic and will extend across the eastern end of Pitch 1 at Hill Farm Lane.

This new addition will be installed works are undertaken to erect new fencing at the site and are planned to go ahead after the football season ends in May.

New cafe at farm shop (20/00749/FUL )

Tally Ho Farm will get a cafe after an extension at the Crouch Lane site in Winkfield was approved.

Bosses at the farm have faced difficulty in getting the all-clear for a cafe at the site after the council refused similar plans in July 2020 because of its location on the green belt.
