ROAD bosses are aiming to make more parking available by The Look Out after a resident slammed the council for creating ‘dangerous blind bends’ near the site.

Taking to Twitter last week, resident ‘Steve B’ lashed out after spotting several cars parked on the side of the road at Bruton Way and other nearby streets.

He said: “@BracknellForest congratulations on closing the car park at the Lookout and forcing everyone onto the surrounding estate to just dump their cars!

“Absolutely dangerous on blind bends - idiots!”

The resident suggested cars were being parked here as the car park at The Look Out Discovery Centre, by Swinley Forest, had closed.

The News contacted Bracknell Forest Council to respond to the claim, and asked what might be done to solve this issue.

A spokesperson said: “The Look Out car park closes temporarily when it reaches full capacity and this is to prevent gridlock and enable cars to exit safely.

Bracknell News:

“The car park re-opens as soon as space becomes available again. Demand for car parking at The Look Out is occasionally exceeding capacity, particularly at weekends.

“To address the rising demand the council will make as much parking available in the wider area as possible going forward.”
