‘DANGEROUS parking’ along a busy Bracknell road could lead to a tragic incident, a worried resident has warned.
Last week, the News reported one resident’s anger at cars parked on pavements on Broad Lane, which is south-east of the town centre and just north of Harmans Water.

Another resident has now raised their own concerns after telling of several ‘near misses’ along the road.
Taking to fixmystreet.com, they fumed: “Residents [are] unable to safely drive out of their driveways due to restricted view by parked cars and vans.
“Pedestrians are unable to walk on the pavement safely including the elderly, those with pushchairs and school children.
“There has also been near misses between vehicles on several occasions.

“Something needs to be done before something tragic happens!”
As explained in our first report, Bracknell Forest Council is working with the management company of the housing development which is going up nearby.
A council spokesperson said they are looking to “explore opportunities to improve the situation”.
Alarms were first raised about the problem when a resident took to fixmystreet.com to complain about the issue.

They said: “There are always cars parked along Broad Lane taking up most of the pavement.
“I have 2 children to take to school with 1 on a pushchair.
“How am I supposed to fit through these gaps?
“I thought footpaths were for people and roads were for cars but it seems I’m wrong.”
