Nathan Towell from Bracknell geared himself up for 26.2 mile running challenge but Covid-19 switched things up.
Instead, he has decided to continue his dreams of raising money for charity by running the length of the London marathon in his hometown.
The 40-year-old said: "I have never run any marathon, have three boys and currently studying a Masters degree. The challenge is high and with many changes, ups and downs I will continue to do it.
"I am going to run around Bracknell to help raise money for Leukaemia Care UK.
"Anything that fights any form of that dreadful word 'Cancer' gets my full support. At 40 yrs old too many times I have heard that dreadful word."
He has raised more than £800 for Leukaemia Care UK, a charity which supports and provides vital care to those affected by blood cancer.
