WE as a nation adore our four-legged friends and there are always so many that need rehoming.

Berkshire's only Battersea Old Windsor is a temporary home to so many dogs who need to find their forever homes.

If living at home as made you want a puppy, then it's best to start thinking about giving a home to a rescue dog.

We have listed below the five dogs who are currently at Battersea Old Windsor.

In line with government advice, the charity have temporarily paused rehoming activity, and due to staff capacity within centres, are not registering interest from new adopters at the moment.

All dogs are still being looked after by staff - however the charity will welcome interest post-lockdown, as well as donations and support during this time.

Adopting a dog may be the perfect way to celebrate lockdown finally ending.

Alfie (Lurcher)

Bracknell News:

Alfie is very cute and loves cuddles and affection. He is suitable to live with other dogs but needs to build up his tolerance towards male dogs.

He also loves children but does need some refresher training at home from someone who is patient.

Spike and Kingy - Chinese Crested

Spike and his brother Kingy are a sweet, easy going pair who came in to Battersea through no fault of their own. They have always been together and are very bonded to one another.

The pair are looking to live in a quiet preferably away from a city environment.

Bailey (Beagle)

Bailey has quite a strong personality and tends to guard her food and items she has stolen so she does need some patience.

She is described as 'sweet' and 'affectionate', and she prefers to live with teenagers and adults.

If you're willing to train her, then she'll be the perfect dog for you.

Milo's favourite thing to do is sit inside a big cardboard box filled with doggy treats! He is energetic and loves to be around people.

He is looking for owners who will be at home most of the time and get him used to spending time alone gradually.

Maya (Mongrel)

She is an extremely excitable dog and needs a bit of training from patient owners.

Maya is known to have leapt over 6ft fences and is therefore looking for a quiet home location with secure fencing to ensure she does not continue her Houdini skills!

She is still a youngster, who seeks and requires additional training alongside her fun character.
