HUNDREDS of runners in Bracknell have been using their spare time in isolation to raise money for NHS workers.

Bracknell Forest Runners clubbed together on Saturday, April 25 where four teams of runners took part in a relay from 5am until 8.30pm.

Gary Farrell, chairman of the club, said: "It was an incredibly proud day to see how our club turned out to support the NHS.

"Everyone in the Club is so supportive of all key frontline workers and we have members who are these people."

Dubbed as the 'Dawn till dusk challenge', the day saw four teams of runners with each person running a half hour slot in club kit and virtually passing on a baton, which was either a spoon or toilet roll.

In total, the runners covered 410 miles and 124 took part resulting in 62 hours of solid running throughout the day.

The amazing group of runners have raised more than £1,500 for the NHS and are still keeping up their fundraising efforts.
