A KIND-hearted man has made almost 50 face shields for care home and GP staff who are at the "bottom list" of receiving government personal protective equipment (PPE).

Andrew Carr and his partner Jennifer Diaz from Martins Heron have delivered 32 visors to St Davids and St Christophers care home in Ascot, six to Crown Wood GP surgery and are set to deliver 20 to Bracknell Forest Council tomorrow.

He explained there is national shortage for PPE for the bottom tier NHS frontline staff so he wanted to help them as much as he can.

Mr Carr said: "The government is doing their best to supply hospitals and rightfully so as they are going through a tremendous amount of PPE. GP's and care homes have put in requests to receive PPE as everyone is concentrating on NHS hospital staff.

"I'd like to think I am a kind person and as a business I felt this is the best way to help."

The 37-year-old, whose September wedding hangs in the balance due to the coronavirus, ordered 3D printers from Hong Kong on behalf of his company to make visors to for key workers.

Andrew has also put a call-out to local residents in Ascot who can help deliver the visors to anywhere that has a shortage in the local area.
