IF you saw a woman running around Bracknell in a rainbow costume over the weekend - here's why.

Dianne Utton from Ascot was meant to take part in the London Marathon on Sunday, April 26 however the annual event got cancelled due to the coronavirus lockdown.

Instead, Dianne decided to run around Bracknell completing a 2.6 challenge, where people are asked to sponsor £2.60 to raise money for her chosen charity Whizz-Kidz.

Dianne said: "I should have been running my first marathon at London last Sunday for Whizz-Kidz so instead I ran around Harman's Water in this!It was great fun! I raised £362 taking me total so far to £1,126."

She also completed 26 sit ups, 26 press ups and 26 star jumps all in the rainbow costume.

Children's charity Whizz-Kidz provides disabled children with essential wheelchairs and other mobility equipment they need to lead fun and active childhoods.

Her fundraising page said: "I'm inspired by the work that Whizz-Kidz do in enabling disabled children and young people to lead fun, active and independent lives. Whizz-Kidz provides vital mobility equipment, opportunities to meet and have fun, and training to help gain skills for a brighter future."
