A QUILTER from Bracknell has seen her work shortlisted for a national prize.

Talented textile artist Sandy Snowden has been put forward for a major international prize at The Festival of Quilts for her piece, Ramshackle Suburb, which explores the subject of neighbourhood.

The festival, which takes place at the Birmingham NEC each year, attracts around 20,000 visitors from all over the globe. The event's Fine Art Quilt Masters competition attracts hundreds of entries and is judged by a panel of leading figures from the art and quilting community.
