BRACKNELL & Wokingham Swimming Club are celebrating after winning the County Championships on two fronts for the first time since the early 2000s.

The girls 4x100m freestyle relay team pipped rivals Wycombe District to the title in the 12/13 years category.

The teams were neck-and-neck all the way, but BWSC came home first in a time of 4 mins 28.04 secs, with hosts Wycombe right behind in 4.28.07 in their own pool.

Further success for BWSC came in the 4x100m medley relay where they saw off Wycombe once again to take the title.

This time the victory was more comfortable, with BWSC clocking 5.00.66 to claim first place ahead of Wycombe in 5.02.23.

It was the first time BWSC had won the two titles since success in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

BWSC did not stop there as they also impressed in the individual categories.

Harriet Price came home first to claim the gold medal at 50m breaststroke in the 13-years age group.

Joslyn Knaap secured gold medals in both the 50m and 100m freestyle in the same age group and ended up second and third overall in the junior category.

There was also a silver medal for Daisy Dewsbury in the 100m butterfly in the 13-years category, while the boys 4x100m medley relay team won bronze in the 12/13 years age group.
