SUNNINGDALE Bowling Club lost 83-70 at home to Maidenhead Thicket in the Kennet League and 10-4 on points.

Sunningdale’s highest-scoring rink was Steve Hawthorne, Dale Spencer, Bob Montgomery and Dennis Bailey (skip).

In the LV Division, Sunningdale A secured promotion to Division One with a 48-41 home win over Maidenhead Town C for a 9-1 victory on points.

Sunningdale B lost 74-46 at Wraysbury for an 8-2 points defeat.

Winning rink for Sunningdale was Steve Hawthorne, Alan Isted and Don Allston (skip).

Sunningdale Ladies beat Suttons 40-43 in a friendly.

In the Thames Valley League, Sunningdale hosted Three Mile Cross who forfeited six points as they could only raise two rinks, with Sunningdale winning 6-4 n points.

Sunningdale’s Ladies Triples Team of Pam Kiddell, Kathy Edwards and Marjorie Walklett (skip) were beaten by Didcot by two shots in the Berkshire County Finals at Reading.

Sunningdale Bowling Club won 80-78 against Horsell in a home midweek friendly with a top rink of John Boyer, Les Greenand Lynn Goringe (skip).

Great Hollands

GREAT Hollands Linnets beat Wokingham 53-50 in Thames Valley Ladies League for an 8-2 points win. Winning skips were Jo Sanders 23-18, Sheila Lee 16-11 and Rita Littleford 14-21.

The Wrens lost 51-40 against Burghfield, going down 8-2 on points. Sheila Ledbury, Mary Thomas and Rose Reason had the only winning triple by 13-10.

Sheila Stickland, Rita Heaton and Irene Bradley lost 17-12, while Carolyn Lofthouse, Margaret Worsfold and Angie Sherfield lost 24-15.

In the Kennett League, Great Hollands continued their winning streak with a 105-74 victory against Wargrave for a 10-4 points win.

In the KLV, the A team drew 55-55 with Maidenhead Town A for a 6-4 points win.

The KLV B team lost 56-41 against Desborough B and 9-1 on points. Fred Moody, Les Dykes and Don Foote drew 15-15, Mike Stickland, John Hills and Fred Payne lost 21-13 while Richard Clark, Lawrie Peckover and David Anderson lost 20-13.

The KLV C team thrashed Suttons C 71-32 for a 10-0 points win.

The KLV D team lost 53-43 against Wokingham D and 8-2 on points. Bill Heffill, Robert Dearman and Neil Lofthouse had the only winning rink, 18-13. Norman Bullock, George Auret and Stewart McMoneagle lost 19-13 while David Harnden, Vic Worsfold and Ray Penfold lost 21-12.
