ANDY Rinomhota made his injury comeback as Reading FC Under 23s drew 0-0 with Wolves Under 23s at Madejski Stadium.

The 20-year-old midfielder has been sidelined since last year with a troublesome hamstring injury.

But Rinomhota, who signed a long-term contract in December, got 45 minutes under his belt for Scott Marshall’s side during last night’s stalemate.

Royals were almost gifted an early lead when Ben Goodliffe slices a Jordan Holsgrove cross towards his own goal, but Wolves keeper Jon Flatt came to his rescue.

Danny Loader also shot into the side netting for the hosts before Wolves enjoyed a decent spell without really troubling Royals stopper George Legg.

Back came Reading with their best chance of the first half as Rinomhota beat two defenders and found Joel Robinson shoes rasping shot was brilliantly saved by Flatt.

Marshall’s men received a let-off soon after when Benny Ashley-Seal converted Anthony Breslin’s cross, but the offside flag had already been raised.

And they ended the first period on top with Rollinson heading narrowly wide from Ryan East’s free-kick.

Opportunities were more scarce after the break, with Royals creating a rare opening when Loader set up Frost, but Flatt produced another fine save to keep the scores level.

And the remainder of the game became a tough, midfield battle as the points were shared to extend Reading’s unbeaten run to five matches in Premier League 2 Division 2.
