Sky Sports pundit David Prutton and Reading legend Mick Gooding have given their thoughts ahead of Reading's clash with Wigan Athletic at the Madejski Stadium tomorrow evening.

The Latics are currently embroiled in a relegation battle - finding themselves in 22nd spot, two points from safety.

However, Paul Cook's men are unbeaten in their last three, having secured a priceless three points against Millwall on the weekend.

Sky Sports pundit David Prutton cannot seperate the two sides and has predicted a 1-1 draw at the Madejski.

Mick Gooding labelled tomorrow's clash as a 'huge game' - saying that a victory for Mark Bowen's men would eliminate any lingering fears of relegation.

The former Royals manager told BBC Berkshire: "They've had a few wins in the past couple of weeks and Reading have only won once in nine so it's not going to be easy.

"If Reading play at their best and Wigan play at their best, then you expect Reading to win.

"I'm sure Mark Bowen will be saying let's get this game won, put the rest of the season to bed in terms of worrying about relegation and let's see how far up the league we can finish.

"The play-offs were finished a long time ago so it's a huge game on Wednesday.

"The last thing Reading want to do is get sucked into the last 10 or 11 games looking over their shoulder and at the results of the teams below them.

"I don't think it will happen but it is a big game."
