Here are our player ratings from Reading's narrow 1-0 defeat against promotion hopefuls Leeds United at Elland Road.

Rafael - 7

With Reading's defensive display restricting clear cut chances for the hosts, Rafael had little to do for long spells but did produce a few smart stops when called upon.

He could do little about the Leeds goal as well, with it being a well taken finish from close range.

Andy Yiadom - 6

As Leeds grew into the game, Yiadom was pegged further back and didn't have much of an opportunity to get higher up the field and support counter attacks. Defended well for the majority of the game.

Michael Morrison - 8

A commanding display from Morrison in the middle of the defence. Alongside Liam Moore, the pair kept the defensive structure well throughout. Put in some very well timed and crucial challenges as well.

Liam Moore - 7

Put his body on the line throughout and made sure that any chances Leeds were going to have were not easy to come by.

Frustratingly, Moore could've given Reading a golden chance salvage a point at the end - if he'd gone down under pressure in the box.

Omar Richards - 6

Similar to Yiadom, Richards was pegged back for long spells and was put under real pressure from the waves of Leeds attacks. He coped relatively well but will be frustrated to have given the ball away in the build up to the only goal of the game.

Pele - 8

Back in the team and back with another impressive display protecting the defence and marshalling the midfield. Some really purposeful surges forward as well which capped off a good display.

John Swift - 5

Struggled to create much from the middle of the pitch, but that was more due to the press of Leeds limiting his time on the ball. Set pieces were frustrating at times.

Michael Olise - 7

His first half showing may have been an eight, but as Leeds exerted their dominance for long spells in the second half especially, Olise eventually faded.

Brave and accomplished first half which must be commended.

Andy Rinomhota - 7

Marked Kalvin Phillips out of the game before the Leeds man left the field with an injury. His influence in an offensive capacity faded in the second half but he continued to battle for every ball in the middle.

Yakou Meite - 4

Anonymous for long spells, which is a surprise given his recent good form. Never really had the opportunity to impose himself on the game.

George Puscas - 5

After a decent opening 45, you could tell that Puscas was tiring as he was left with the thankless task of chasing down the ball high up the pitch.

His runs were also rather repetitive and were easy to read by the end for the home defenders.

Charlie Adam - 5

Nothing to write home about for Adam. He came on for John Swift but never really got into the game with Leeds on top.
