A BRILLIANT Ravi Patel hat-trick and a strike from fellow hot-shot Tom King fired South Berkshire men to a convincing 4-1 win at Harrow in their MBBO Regional Two clash, writes Richard Ashton.

Patel's efforts pushed him up to 12 goals for the season, while Scott has one more to sit joint-top of the divisional charts.

Second-placed South Berkshire are now level on points with leaders Sonning, albeit having played a game more.

They will hope to continue their good form when second-bottom Milton Keynes 2nds visit Cantley Park on Saturday (noon).

In Division Two, runaway leaders South Berkshire 2nds remain eight points clear at the summit despite their game with Abingdon being postponed.

South Berkshire 3rds were also left without a game as their scheduled fixture at home to Leighton Buzzard fell victim to the weather.

In Division Seven, South Berkshire 4ths were edged out 2-1 at Newbury & Thatcham 5ths, while South Berkshire Terriers' Division Eight West clash at home to Aylesbury Tring Development was postponed.

South Berkshire ladies – whose home game with Marlow 2nds was postponed last weekend – are set to return to Trysports Three Counties League Premier Division One action at home to table-topping Slough 2nds this coming Saturday.

South Berkshire 2nds eased home in the battle-of-the-bottom-two as they brushed aside Witney 2nds 4-1 in Premier Division Two.

The victory leaves South Berks just a point adrift of third-bottom Reading Rockets and only three behind Marlow 3rds in seventh spot.

In Division Two, Maddie Scott was on target for South Berkshire 3rds as they climbed to sixth in the standings following a 3-1 home triumph against Newbury & Thatcham 3rds.
