SOUTH Berkshire men returned to MBBO Regional Two action in fine style with a 5-3 home win against Oxford Hawks 3rds, writes Richard Ashton.

Kaya Campion and Ravi Patel both bagged braces for the home side, with their other goal coming from Tom King as he rattled in his 12th of the season.

Charlie Hill replied with a double for the Hawks, but despite Jamie Hill also hitting the target, they slipped to defeat.

Second-placed South Berkshire – who remain three points adrift of leaders Sonning – visit Harrow this coming Saturday.

In Division Two, table-topping South Berkshire 2nds returned to winning ways, but were made to fight hard before ultimately triumphing 3-2 at lowly Marlow 3rds.

South Berkshire Terriers lost 2-0 to Reading Rovers in their Division Eight West clash, leaving them third in the table.

In Premier Division One of the Trysports Three Counties League, South Berkshire ladies dropped to ninth-in-the-table after losing 2-1 at home to Banbury.

South Berkshire welcome second-placed Marlow 2nds to Birch Hill Recreation Ground this coming Saturday (11.30am).

Second-bottom South Berkshire 2nds lost 3-1 at Wycombe 2nds in Premier Division Two, Alex Pickard and Charlotte Dudley among the home goalscorers.
