THE Berkshire Schools Football Association Under 14s boys team remain unbeaten in the first half of the season after winning their last representative game in 2019, writes Rob Stevens.
The young stars beat Hampshire 5-3 to maintain their perfect winning record after three games in the South West England Schools FA U14s Regional League.
Berkshire have played and beaten Oxfordshire (3-0), Dorset (3-1) and Hampshire (5-3) - their latest game played at Thatcham Town FC in December.
The team went behind early on but came back strongly and went on to record a convincing win despite conceding a couple of goals late in the game.
The Berkshire side includes keeper Sebastian Stacey, who attends St Josephs Catholic High School in Slough and also represents the Slough Schools FA. Stacey gained an assist in the win against Hampshire and saved a late penalty in the previous victory over Dorset.
Berkshire will play all three opponents in the reverse fixtures in 2020 to try and win the league title and be crowned South West England Regional League Champions.
