TOM King bagged a brace as South Berkshire men returned to winning ways with an impressive 2-1 home win against fellow MBBO Regional Two high-flyers Wallingford, writes Richard Ashton.

Daniel Pilbeam was on target for the visitors, who stay one spot ahead of third-placed South Berks on goal difference, but having played a game more.

South Berkshire visit Banbury 2nds for their rearranged fixture this coming Saturday (11.15am).

Unbeaten Division Two leaders South Berkshire 2nds recorded a 10th win in 11 games with a 5-2 triumph at Oxford Hawks 4ths.

Michael Amor, Rob Badley, Mike Baylis, Paul Kaplanski and Daniel Ray – with his 17th goal of the season – were all on target for the visitors, while Arthur Baldock and Guy Biggs netted for Hawks.

A Duncan Clarke double and goals from Tom Pullen, Tom Scott and Richard Wallace lifted South Berkshire 3rds to eighth in the Division Three table following their 5-3 success at Banbury 3rds.

For the hosts, Oliver Beesley bagged a brace and Jamie Marsh also found the back of the net.

South Berkshire 4ths thrashed Eastcote 5ths 5-1 in Division Seven, while South Berkshire Terriers moved top of Division Eight West after obliterating winless basement side Phoenix & Ranelagh 3rds 8-1.

South Berkshire ladies remain seventh in the Trysports Three Counties League Premier Division One table after earning a point from their 2-2 draw at Wallingford.

They now enter the winter break and are next in action at home to Banbury on Saturday, January 11.

In Premier Division Two, South Berkshire 2nds dropped to second-bottom after they went down 4-0 at fellow strugglers Oxford Hawks 4ths.

Erin Begley was on target for South Berkshire 3rds as they secured a creditable 1-1 Division Two draw at unbeaten table-toppers Bicester.

Lisa Elliott was on target for the home side.

South Berkshire 4ths climbed to seventh in the Division Five table after they won 2-0 at Banbury 5ths, Lyndall Davitt and Ella Martin with the visitors' goals.
