Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has said that he thinks it is ‘inevitable’ that Wigan and Reading will play out a draw on Saturday afternoon.

Prutton has said that he believes Mark Bowen’s honeymoon period is over following two consecutive 1-0 defeats away at Brentford and at home to Leeds.

A win for the Royals would see them pull away from the relegation zone, although defeat could see Reading fall further behind the teams in mid-table.

David Prutton said: "Wigan probably should have picked up a few more points lately.

"They have been in good positions going into games on so many occasions but keep letting them slip.

"The honeymoon period is over for Mark Bowen, with Reading losing their last two on the spin.

"They are slipping back towards the drop zone, where Wigan currently reside. Both teams will be so desperate not to lose that a draw feels inevitable."

Prediction: Wigan Athletic 1-1 Reading
