BERKS County failed to take top spot in the Premier Division as their six-match unbeaten run was ended with a 2-1 home defeat to Finchampstead, writes Richard Ashton.

Nick Payne and Alex Woodhead put Finches 2-0 up either side of half-time, and despite Ebenezer Opoku-Ware pulling a goal back late on, the Swords were unable to find an equaliser.

Lee Vincent struck an 85th-minute winner as Mortimer continued their good form with a 1-0 victory against Windlesham United.

Jack Kennedy and Daryl Wearn both bagged braces to inspire Maidenhead Town Reserves to a 4-3 win against Woodley United A in Division Two.

Ben Anderson scored twice for the visitors, with their other goal coming from Max Laschok.

In Division Three, a sensational Steve Park hat-trick led Robertswood to a 7-1 destruction of Maidenhead Town A.

Ben Andrews, Connor Cumber and Jack Pattison were among the other visiting goalscorers, with Ibrahim Sajid on target for Town.

Dave Amey, Dean Caffell and David Parrott scored for Division Four table-toppers Berks County Rovers, but they were held to a 3-3 draw by Taplow United Vets.

Charlie Hill bagged a brace for the visitors, with Arran Hunjan also finding the back of the net.

A Daniel Reynolds double gave second-placed Goring United Reserves a 2-0 win at Farnham Royal Mavericks, moving them level on points at the summit.

Mohamed Mahmoud and Jordan Jones both hit hat-tricks as Burghfield Reserves put Phoenix Old Boys Development to the sword 8-0.

Ryan Knott and Dominic Lee got the other goals.

Westwood Wanderers were knocked out of the Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy following a 4-0 home defeat to Wantage Town Development, while Woodley United Royals crashed out of the Intermediate Cup with a 7-0 thrashing at the hands of Old Windsor.

Goals from Kieran Mabbutt, Chris Lemm, Michael Holder and a late winner from James Bozarth fired Reading YMCA to a 4-3 win against Hagbourne United.

Four goals from the prolific Sam Wild, a Joe Wigmore hat-trick and a Stuart Moss double fired Wargrave past Kintbury Rangers Reserves 9-3, while FC Imaan Lions blasted Twyford & Ruscombe 8-2.

Dermot Johnson and Sabeel Ashgar both struck trebles for the hosts, with their other goals coming from Harminder Chadda and Ateeq Butt.

In the Junior Cup, Mortimer Wanderers were eliminated 4-2 by Hungerford Town U19, goals from Martin Bradshaw and Daniel Fisher proving insufficient for the hosts.

In the Slough Town Cup, Phoenix Old Boys Reserves were thrashed 6-0 by Burnham Village.
