WOKINGHAM & Emmbrook defeated Bracknell Town Under 23s 4-0 at Larges Lane on Monday to reach the quarter-finals of the Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy.

The scoreline was rather harsh on the young Robins as they played well, creating plenty of chances and hitting the post early on before seeing Sumas keeper Sean Woodward go on to make several excellent saves.

Elliott Rushforth set-up the opening goal for Adam Edwards on 22 minutes and shortly afterwards scored the second himself.

Jake White made it 3-0 from the penalty spot with 72 minutes gone after Kylo Atkinson had been brought down in the area and substitute Will Good completed the scoring with a superb curling effort from 30 yards seven minutes from time.

Sumas' league game with Thame Rangers was postponed last Saturday due to a waterlogged pitch.

Wokingham & Emmbrook visit Wallingford Town in Division One East on Saturday (3pm), before travelling to Langley on Tuesday (7.45pm).

After last weekend's fixture at Longlevens had been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, Binfield return to Premier Division action this coming Saturday when they host Fairford Town at Hill Farm Lane (3pm).

The Moles are currently fifth in the Premier Division standings, one of three teams locked together on 22 points.

The trio are two points behind second-placed Fairford, who trail unbeaten leaders Westfields by eight points with two games in hand.
