ASCOT United came from behind to secure a fine 3-2 win at fellow Premier Division top-four side Colliers Wood United on Saturday.

Recent signing Liam Flanighan volleyed them ahead in the 42nd minute, only for Ayden Richards to equalise in stoppage time and Jack Buckle seized on a defensive error to put the hosts ahead just after the hour mark.

The league leaders, however, soon got back on level terms through Louis Bouvers and earned all three points with an outstanding 68th-minute goal from Luqman Kassim, who ran half the length of the pitch before slotting the ball low past keeper Andy Osei via the inside of the post.

Their 10th win in 14 games left them four points clear of Balham in second place, ahead of their home match with fourth-bottom CB Hounslow United this Saturday.

Ascot are in action tomorrow night (Tuesday) with an FA Vase replay against Abbey Rangers following last Tuesday's 2-2 draw at Addlestone Moor.

They went ahead in the 15th minute through Ian Davies, but two goals from Daryl Cooper-Smith, the second with a penalty, saw Rangers lead 2-1 at half-time.

Ascot's late equaliser also came from the spot, Harry Laflin making no mistake after new signing Juwon Akintunde had been brought down.

The winners of the replay will visit Southern Counties East League Premier Division side Corinthian (Kent) in the third round.

In Division One, Eversley & California's home fixture with Farnham Town was called off due to a waterlogged pitch on Saturday.

The Boars travel to mid-table AFC Hayes this Saturday before hosting fellow strugglers Godalming Town at Fox Lane a week on Tuesday (7.30pm).

Sandhurst's Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy tie at Cookham Dean had to be abandoned at half-time as the pitch had deteriorated following torrential rain, the tie being goalless.

If the tie is re-arranged for this coming Saturday then the Fizzers' home league fixture with Ash United will be postponed.

Tomorrow night (Tuesday) they are scheduled to visit Walton & Hersham.
