MBBO Regional Two table-toppers South Berkshire men lost their 100 per cent record, but still managed to secure a 2-2 draw at Oxford 2nds, writes Richard Ashton.

Sam Fox-Harvey took his goal tally to seven in five games for South Berks and with Ravi Patel also on target, they picked up a point despite a Dan Bleach double for the hosts.

A Daniel Ray double and a Des Sanders effort ensured Division Two leaders South Berkshire 2nds retained their unbeaten record with a comfortable 3-0 home success against Oxford 3rds, extending their record to five wins and a draw in their opening six games.

In Division Three, Duncan Clarke netted for South Berkshire 3rds’ in their 1-1 draw at home to Newbury & Thatcham 3rds, George Rimmer replying for the visitors.

South Berkshire 4ths were edged out 5-4 by Wallingford 4ths in Division Seven, while South Berkshire Terriers lost 2-1 at home to Abingdon 3rds in Division Eight West.

South Berkshire ladies picked up their first win of the season with a fine 3-0 success at Henley 2nds as they kick-started their Trysports Three Counties League Premier Division One season and leapfrogged their opponents to move out of the bottom two.

South Berkshire face a tough examination this coming Saturday, however, when they visit second-placed Oxford 2nds.

In Premier Division Two, South Berkshire 2nds fell to a 2-1 defeat at Thame 2nds, for whom Clare Harris was on target.

Third-placed South Berkshire 3rds played out a 0-0 draw at the side one place above them in the Division Two table, Wychwood, but South Berkshire 4ths were able to edge out Oxford Hawks 7ths 1-0 in Division Five.
