DUE to schools being on a half-term break, FC Bracknell teams had no matches last weekend, although the Under 14s Colts did play a friendly with Ascot United. They lost 3-2, being just edged out in a hard-fought encounter, with Ethan Callaway their man-of-the-match.
The latest FCB Soccer School did go ahead as planned and there was another good turn out of boys and girls despite the cold and wet conditions.
They were split into four teams for games against each other.
There was no focus on scores as the emphasis is about having a fun time while developing their skills in a safe environment.
Any youngster keen to join these schools should turn up at Farley Woods community centre in Turnpike Road (RG42 1FW) any Saturday between 9am and 10am.
LAWSON Jones and Sam Evans hit the target for Ascot United Under 16 Youth in their 2-1 League Cup victory against Goldsworth Park Rangers, but goals from Sydney Duffy and Ella Davey were insufficient for the U14 Sapphires as they were defeated 3-2 by Doverhouse Lions.
MAN-OF-THE-MATCH Lenny Barron scored twice as Bracknell Athletic Under 10s beat Spencers Wood.
