CONNOR Corlet has a nice memento of his first year at Finchampstead CC – he has been voted the club's player of the season.

The Aussie paceman started in the 2nd XI before making an instant impact when promoted to the senior side.

In nine Home Counties Premier League games, he took 22 wickets at an average of 17.18, the sixth highest in the Division One list.

Scott Osler went home with two trophies from the Finchampstead presentation evening, taking the Mike Arnold batting award and the clubman of the year title, which he shared with John Reed and Dave Marles.

The Peter Lewington bowling award went to Parth Patel, while Liam Bulteel was voted the top young player and Richard Reed the most improved.

Callum Creighton, who was the Berkshire CCC Under 17 player of the season, collected another award when he was voted Wokingham CC's U17 team's best all-rounder this year.

At the same age group, Charlie Carter secured the best batting award with Athavan Patil taking the bowling prize and Aaryan Pawar the coaches' award.
